A Bold Satement
I am loving the contrast of the bold blue color on the walls, and the bright white drapes; it really sets the mood, don't you think?

Letting the Light In
The large floor to ceiling windows are great in summer where you can let in all the light in, creating a lively and upbeat environment. Check out these lovely rooms...

Joe Serrins Interiors
I am glad to say that I've possibly found myself a new favorite designer- Joe Serrins. The interiors show a contemporary style; every room in the house has a clean, modern simplicity that I truly admire...

White Simplicity
I can't believe that it's the first snow this year in Plano, TX. We have about two to four inches and the dark brown trees are a stark contrast to the snow. This serene landscape is topped of with the sky's soft gray scale...(you can probably tell that I'm not very used to extremely cold weather and white precipitation.) Snow reflects the phrase 'white simplicity' which perfectly fits these interiors...

Color: Aquamarine
It's been a while since my last post. Life has been very hectic and I've had barely any time to post. But, I am back now with a few pictures of one of my favorite colors - casual and beachy blue that can also look classy and elegant like in the dining room below with the blue-glass Murano chandelier and blue leather chairs.
The aquamarine upholstered bench at the foot of the bed brings in a bright note to the calm, white bedroom.

Sleek and Modern
There are times when I'm drawn to clean, uncluttered, spare spaces...here are some pictures of ultra modern rooms that are comfortable, relaxed spaces without being clinical and cold. The features that bring this look together are the wide expanse of glass, the floor to ceiling windows, the geometric shapes, & the thin and straight silhouettes...not to mention the light colors, the dramatic location and views !!(In the first two pics.)

Color: Melon
Melon is a vibrant color that you cannot overlook. With a single graphic pattern, it sends a joyful vibe throughout the room. You can feel the energy of the color in the the contemporary furniture!

Here, is a Chloe dress, dvf scarf, Kate Spade bag and bracelet- which I adore, and Sigerson Morrison shoes. The Kate Spade bracelet is made of delicate pearls along strands of gold.

The Selby Contest: CB2
CB2 is holding a contest called the Selby is in your place, where you send three pictures of your creative space and get as many votes as you can. My mom and I entered this contest and entered three pictures of this room. My mother stitched two of the pillow covers which we had picked. Previously, I showed the same room without the sofa. We just got this beautiful tufted mid-century modern sofa from Macy's a few weeks ago. Now we nicely spiced up the room with some nature and greenery and moved the furniture around. Vote for us at theselbycontest.com.

Bold and Beautiful
These are picture from Angie Hranowsky's Portfolio. I saw her designs and she is now one of my favorite designers! I like that she uses bright colors and neutral colors, and sometimes carries the same color schemes throughout a house. I also love the bold and graphic patterns she uses in furniture and decoration.

Calm or Bold?
We (my mom and I) redid the master bedroom of our house. We changed the wall color from a bright orange to a calming beige. It's amazing what a change of accessories and curtains could do to change the entire look of the space. I wanted to go with the red and browns, but my mom wanted her bedroom more calming. I liked both so we ended up doing all browns. Unfortunately we had to keep our old bed which takes up a lot of space which is too bad, but I still liked the way it turned out. Check out the pictures below!
