Famous Favorites

I was busy for a few weeks so I couldn't post anything new, but now I'm back! Below are some famous modern architecture. The one on the right is Falling Waters by Frank Lloyd Wright. Personally I like the exterior better than the interior because of the waterfall and home-like feel. The one on the left is Farnsworth House by Mies van der Rohe. It was placed in a beautiful location, and the inside is so spacious and perfect with clean lines.

Down by the Sea Shore

These pieces are perfect for a casual stroll by the beach which I want to do except the only problem is that there isn't a beach near me. Anyhow, I put together a white Vix swimsuit, a blue-green coverup, a Robert Lee morris Mobius cuff bracelet, a Carlos Falchi metallic leopard-print tote, a Rene Caovilla sandal, and a hat.

Mood Boards

Yesterday I found this website called OlioBoard, which is like room planning. Olio Board, or Mood Board, It's basically a blank sheet and you can pick out furniture and different accessories and put the pictures together to show the whole room plan. Below is the one I made so far.

Prodigious Patterns

I usually like modern, abstract patterns, but I also like some of these intricate patterns as long as it stays off the wall. The black and white pattern in the middle is from a site called Flavor Paper, where they sell the pattern as wallpaper, but these would look really good on pillows, and throws!

Clean and Crisp

Here are some of my favorite white pieces of furniture and lighting. Most are well known classics that are very unique. Below there is Vernor Panton's S chair, Charles and Ray Eames' Eiffel Chair, Poul Henningsen's Artichoke Lamp and George Nelson's Saucer Pendant Lamp. I love the clean looks of these iconic pieces.

Ruffles!

The ruffle trend is gone, but I still love it! They look good on anything. Just make sure you don't wear them all at the same time. I also love the layering of the fabric and the way it creases.

The Barcelona Chair

The Barcelona chair is one of my favorite pieces of furniture. It was designed by Mies Van Der Rohe in collaboration with Lilly Reich for the International Exposition of 1929. The sleek stainless steel legs are inspired by the campaign and folding chairs of ancient times. The tufted back and seat adds to the elegant at the same time modern feel to it. The chair is also available in white leather but it's the black leather chair that serves as an icon of the Modernist movement.

Bright Summer

For the high temps and hot days here are some bright-colored dresses and fab interiors to look at. There's a beach house, two mid century rooms and a dining room. To match the bright accents there are three pretty dresses.

Pink Evening

Pink is a light pretty color and should not be overdone. If you put any of these with a nice neutral color it will stand out amazingly. These are perfect for an elegant evening. Starting with the dark burgundy gown and the pink dresses to the Stuart Weitzman evening shoes to the Dior pink handbag. The bracelet and shoes are not pink but looks awesome.

Autumn Outfit

This is a fall casual look with neutral colors which is very smooth and soft. It starts with the white tank under the heather gray cotton cardigan and the dark blue skinny jeans in the Jimmy Choo black suede boots. Then it’s accessorized with white, Jimmy Choo handbag and sunglasses. To top it off a chain necklace with hoop earrings.
