Pink Punches

To me its very daring to put pink accents in my house for the fear of losing its professional aspect, though it can surely be pulled off (as seen below). Also seen below are the adorable pink flats and an elegant bouquet. Usually I would prefer using a color palette of white, beige, or other neutral colors, but this is truly an exception.

Super Sweet Sixteen

My color palette inspiration comes from an Erica O’Brien cake design. The Madeline Weinrib clutch compliments a lovely Kate Spade dress with a soft cotton and dramatic bow, and the elegant earrings complete this chic look. The combination of ebony and carnation pink gives a feminine feel to the event board.

My Updated Bedroom

Once again I show my passion for symmetry, as is seen in this room via the two wardrobes and the two lamps on either side of the bed. Artwork on the wall is an abstract painting by me during the summer. The elegant accessories used in my bedroom are from estate sales. You never know what you'll find there; after all someone's trash is another man's treasure. The main color scheme going on, is a dark chocolate (in the wardrobes, other accents) and white (in the sheets, throw and extra accessories). This is one of my favorite combinations -  it's crisp, clean, and calming.

Designer Stamps

For those of you who would like to mail in their bills with a cool designer stamp on the envelopes, you're in luck. The US postal service is commemorating twelve American industrial designers of the 20th century by releasing stamps to honor them. These designers include Frederick Hurten Rhead, Walter Dorwin Teague, Norman Bel Geddes, Russel Wright, Greta Von Nessen etc. Their works were simple and  streamlined yet they  projected an expensive look. These industrial household products are popular even today like the Russel Wright flatware, Gilbert Rohde electric clocks,  famous fiestaware by Frederick Rhead, and the Donald Deskey  iconic table lamp.

Earlier in 2008, the famous design couple, Ray and Charles Eames' contributions were recognized and commemorated in the USPS'  release of stamps. These stamps feature their acclaimed and legendary pieces like the LCW chair, the Eames storage unit, the La Chaise, the Eames Wire chair, etc.
